Monetize Social Website Traffic Without Adsense: An Overview of Alternative Ad Networks

Hello everyone, today I would like to share my experience of monetizing websites with traffic mainly from social networks, especially when it is not possible to use Adsense. I currently own a number of websites aimed at the US market, traffic mainly from social media, and have had a hard time when these sites were restricted or banned by Google Adsense.

Here's a detailed review of the ad networks I've been using, hopefully helpful to those in a similar situation:

Popular Ad Networks:

  1. Adsterra:
  • Pros: The CPM of pop-up ads is quite decent ($5-7), and the payouts are fast and fair.
  • Cons: Banner CPM is very low (0.01-0.02$), the quality of pop-up ads gradually decreases over time, and there is no credibility in displaying ads.
  • Bottom Line: Suitable if you want to focus on pop-up ads.
  1. MGID:
  • Pros: Specializes in Native Ads, suitable for news websites, high initial CPM price ($5-6), good customer support.
  • Cons: CPM price decreases over time, website browsing time is quite long for websites with low traffic, slow payment (NET-30).
  • Conclusion: Suitable for news websites with high traffic from major countries.
  1. Adskeeper:
  • Pros: Similar to MGID but easier to browse, CPMs are sometimes higher than MGID, especially in Southeast Asia.
  • Cons: Ads are less aesthetic than MGID, sensitive, easy to cause websites to be banned by Adsense, slow payment (NET-30).
  • Bottom Line: Recommended for websites that don't have Adsense.

Little-known ad networks:

  1. Monetag:
  • Pros: Specializing in pop-up ads, stable CPM, not reduced like Adsterra, high CPM for small countries, minimum payment via PayPal is only $5.
  • Cons: Banner ads are not attractive, involve a lot of betting, bank payments require a minimum of $500, slow payments (NET-30).
  • Bottom Line: It's a good idea to try if you want to focus on pop-up ads.
  1. Bidgear:
  • Advantages: Vietnamese advertising network, variety of ad formats, high CPM price of video ads (4-5$), enthusiastic support, fast payment (NET-15).
  • Cons: Video ads are only for websites with Adsense, the ad quality is not stable.
  • Bottom Line: Try it if you have a website with Adsense and want to test video ads.
  1. Taboola:
  • Pros: Large Native Ads ad network, fast browsing time, professional support, fast billing (NET-45).
  • Cons: Exclusive contract requirements, not used simultaneously with other networks such as MGID and Adskeeper, strict policy.
  • Bottom Line: Suitable for websites with high-quality traffic.

Summary:

If your website doesn't have Adsense, I recommend combining multiple ad networks to increase your income. For news websites, a combination of Native Ads ad networks is essential.

Good luck!
