GETTING TO KNOW THE GROUP AND MAKING $1000 IN THE MMO FIELD: THE JOURNEY OF A NEWBIE

Hello everyone, I am a newbie in the field of MMO (Make Money Online) and today I would like to share my story about earning my first $1000, a small number that means a lot to me.

1. Step into the world of MMO and find a group

At the end of 2022, I first learned about MMO, a potential online job. At first, I was quite vague and simply thought that it was jobs such as online teaching, translation, content writing... It wasn't until mid-February 2023 that I really started to delve deeper into the MMO, overcoming my initial doubts about its authenticity.

Thanks to searching for information on Youtube, Facebook and Google, I gradually discovered the vast world of MMO and got to know this group of Mr. Tin. When I first joined the group, I was really overwhelmed by the sharing of sales and huge income of the "sharks" in the group.The feeling of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) is surging, urging me to start learning and start my own MMO journey.

2. Learn and Start with the Smallest Steps

After reading the materials shared in the group, I decided to start with Affiliate Marketing, specifically Free Traffic because I didn't have the capital to run ads (Paid Traffic). My goal is to build a Facebook page to get traffic and start spreading affiliate links.

I "dug a grave" of an old page that was empty, focusing on Gen Z students. I spend time researching successful Pages, learning the Facebook algorithm, how to make videos and post effectively. After many efforts, my Page gradually got a steady growth, reaching 10k follows, then 50k, 70k and finally 180k follows.

3. "Stupid" Mistakes and Achievements

In the process of making Page, I also encountered many "silly" mistakes. Once, I accidentally downloaded a malicious file that made Page "fly color" in a moment. It's an expensive lesson about being careful with strange links.

Besides Page, I also tried my hand at TikTok, creating a video reup channel and linking TikTok Shop products. As a result, I earned nearly 18 million VND in a few months. Later, I switched to TikTok Beta and got more income from it.

In total, after nearly a year of working as an MMO, I earned nearly 40 million VND. Although it is not a very large number, it is a worthy achievement for my efforts and a motivation for me to keep trying.

4. Experience for newbies

Here are some of the experiences I learned, I hope will be useful for newbies:

• Determine a strong mentality: Learning something new is not easy, be persistent and don't give up when you encounter difficulties.
• Learn and choose: MMOs are vast, learn and choose a field that suits your interests and strengths.
• Make a specific plan: Breaking down your work into specific steps will make it easier for you to accomplish your goals.
• Focus on one area: Don't hold on to too many things at once, focus on one area for the best results.
• Think differently: Don't follow the crowd, look for new, less competitive directions.
• Continuous Learning: MMOs are always changing, stay up to date and learn from successful people.

($1,000 is not a small number, but it's not too big either. For many members of the group, it's only a small fraction of their total income. However, for a newbie like me, this is an important start that marks the success of starting a job in a new field from scratch.)

1. Time to know MMO and team

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie who has been learning about MMOs for almost a year. I first learned about the term MMO at the end of 2022. At that time, I only understood MMOs as online jobs such as online teaching, translation, content writing, design, video editing, etc. By mid-February 2023, I had some free time and decided to delve deeper into online jobs that could be involved in the MMO field.

Before that, I was still skeptical about MMOs, because I thought that online jobs might just be scams, especially when the media often warned about online scams. I started digging deeper on YouTube, Facebook, and Google with the keyword "MMO Monetization." Since then, my Newfeed has started to be flooded with information related to MMOs, from content writing courses for beginners, the journey from zero to hero for marketers in different industries, advertising classes, and more.

At that time, I felt confused by all the new information. Have the intention of taking a course or find a suitable mentor, but still feel uncertain. Fortunately, a friend shared with me about Mr. Tin's group. When I first joined the group, I was surprised by the sharks' sharing of huge sales and income. I felt interested and decided to start working.

When I read the articles of people who have succeeded, I feel vague and don't know where to start. I decided to re-read the materials for newbies, find out the direction and note before investing in the course. I realized that, in the world of MMOs, algorithms and platforms are constantly updating, and nothing is sustainable forever. To find the right direction, I have to learn and work really hard.

2. How to learn and start making from the smallest things

After a brief understanding of MMO, I started working with Affiliate Marketing. I learned that there are two main types of affiliate marketing: Paid Traffic and Free Traffic. Paid Traffic has faster results but requires a lot of cost and knowledge of the underlying algorithm. In contrast, Free Traffic takes longer to get results, but it costs less.

As a poor student who didn't have enough money for Paid Traffic and lacked the knowledge to run effective ads, she decided to start with Free Traffic. I think it sounds simple to just spread a link and someone clicks on it to make money. However, I also realized that spreading links is not easy and encounters many difficulties.

I already have an old Facebook page that I used to translate Douyin videos into Vietnamese. This site has about a few hundred followers and I decided to take advantage of it for MMO work. She began to follow the plans and strategies she learned from the team, including identifying customer files, analyzing page engagement, and how to post effectively.

Gradually, my Facebook page began to grow steadily. After three weeks, one of her videos has trended with over 100k likes and 1.2 million views. The page achieved 10k followers as the original goal. After that, I started receiving advertising orders and income from affiliate marketing.

3. Results achieved and errors

After about seven months of hard work with the Facebook page, she achieved income from receiving advertising and affiliate marketing totaling about 20 million VND. However, one fine day, when I clicked on a download file, my Facebook page suddenly disappeared. This loss makes me regret not only because of money but also because of the effort I have spent.

Besides, I also make a Vietnamese TikTok channel to attach product links. Although initially working on TikTok faced many difficulties, after many efforts, she got a number of trending TikTok accounts and earned income from it. In the first month of TikTok Beta, I earned about 100 - 1,000 USD. Currently, she is still continuing to learn and develop her TikTok channel.

4. Personal experience and advice for newbies

From my experiences, I would like to share some experiences and advice:

• Tâm lý và kiên nhẫn: Học một cái mới không bao giờ dễ dàng. Quan trọng là không được nản lòng và tiếp tục kiên trì.

• Hiểu biết cơ bản: Trước khi bắt tay vào làm, nên tìm hiểu rõ về các công việc MMO và xác định điểm mạnh của mình. Tìm công việc phù hợp với kỹ năng và sở thích của bạn.

• Lập kế hoạch cụ thể: Lập danh sách công việc và kế hoạch cụ thể để hoàn thành từng bước. Ví dụ: hoàn thành số lượng video hoặc bài viết nhất định trong một thời gian cụ thể.

• Tập trung và chuyên sâu: Đừng ôm đồm quá nhiều mảng. Tập trung vào một lĩnh vực, làm tốt rồi mới mở rộng.

• Sáng tạo và khác biệt: Tạo ra giá trị và điểm khác biệt để nổi bật hơn so với những người khác. Ví dụ: thay vì chỉ bán trà chanh, có thể mở quán bán các loại trà độc đáo hoặc đồ pha chế.

• Thực hành và học hỏi: Không ngừng thực hành và học hỏi từ những sai sót và kinh nghiệm của người khác. Làm việc chăm chỉ và dần dần bạn sẽ đạt được kết quả.
